What you tried to download from the Microsoft website is the so called retail version (FPP version) which is licensed in a slightly different manner. It's pretty much the same Windows but is licensed in a different way than the one found on the Microsoft website. The Windows version you have on your PC is of type OEM - this is the one which is provided by PC vendors (OEM vendors) like HP.
